100 Years of Racing

Schedule of events
• 9 a.m. to noon — 3 on 3 Basketball tournament (pre-register at Fuller Hall, or up until 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the fair office.)
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Car show, DJ will be playing music
• 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Flea market and vendor displays
• 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. — Extensive historical race displays, vintage race car display, go kart display, limited edition celebration T-shirts made to order while you wait for $12.
• 1 to 5 p.m. — Water rocket demonstration by Webster City Boy Scout Troop 17.
• 3 to 5 p.m. — Autographs and photo opportunities with favorite race car drivers, free watermelon feed and watermelon seed spitting contest.
Games and activities
• 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Tickle the Clown
• 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. — Pocono NASCAR?Racecar Simulator
• 1 to 5 p.m. — Dunk tank with race car drivers, duck pond game, ring toss, dish coin toss game, kids bouncy house and equalizer bouncy house.
• 2 to 5 p.m. — Smiley Face Train rides
• 3 to 5 p.m. — Nail driving contest
• 2 to 3:30 p.m. — Kids pedal tractor pull
• 4 p.m. — Kids pedal tractor pull off and award presentation
• 6 p.m. — Hot laps begins a night of racing at the Hamilton County Speedway for a $5 admission. Free limited edition collector’s stickers to the first 1,500 paying race fans and drivers.
• Between heats and feature races — Champions picture — all past and present track champions are invited to gather for a commemorative 100 years of racing photo in victory lan.
• Immediately following the races — Fireworks show (speedway gates will be open during the final feature races to allow the general public access.)
Concessions
Cattleman’s ribeye sandwiches; Boy Scouts will serve pork patties, chili dogs, hot dogs and brats; Mr. G’s BBQ; kettle corn; WC2DC snow cones; cotton candy, cold drinks, etc.
