Business Matters: Burke Risetter
Burke Risetter
Meet Burke Risetter Owner Gridiron Family Grill and Sports Lounge 2 1/2 years with the business Background: I grew up in Webster City and graduated here way back in 1987. I?went to college for a few years and then began a family. I?have a son, Brandon, who is a junior at UNI, and a daughter, Megan, who will be a freshman at ICCC?in Fort Dodge. I?have been in the restaurant business all my life. My grandparents had the Goldroom, Maid-Rite and Dairy Queen. I worked in my teen days at DQ. People laugh, but I?bought my first moped working at DQ dipping Buster Bars and Dilly Bars. I have worked in the food service arena for 15 years, spending nine great years with Harkess Distributing, formerly in Lemars. I?then moved to a different sales position with Martin Bros. Distributing Co. out of Cedar Falls. Both were beneficial in the experience and education I received while employed there. Why I do what I do: I enjoy a challenge in life.
