Hubert Hanson, age 87, of Jewell, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Burial with military honors follows at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Visitation is Friday, July 4th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be given to Bethesda Lutheran Church of Jewell, Jewell Fire and Rescue, the Jewell Lions Club, or the American Legion Post in Jewell.
