Public invited to Art Show Saturday during Crazy Days activities
Downtown Webster City will be filled with artists on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as they showcase how they capture their creativity. The art festival is a part of the Crazy Day Events planned for Saturday.
What started out as a retail event featuring crazy deals at sidewalk sales has grown to include the annual art festival as well as the first annual car show, sidewalk art contest, poetry contest and a children's parade.
Artists attending are from the Twin Cities area, and all over Iowa, including many of our local talents. Just some of the pieces and types of are featured will include Asian embroidery art, wheat straw painting, jewelry making, portrait artists, stained glass, pottery, fine art painted in acrylics, watercolors, pencil, oils, prints, warm glass, garden art, dichroic jewelry, rock art and metal etchings.
The public is invited to come downtown to enjoy all the activities throughout the day. Works of art will be available to purchase as well. "Capture Your Creativity" the theme of the show.
