Ann Sterling, 90, Eagle Grove

Ann Margaret Sterling, the second of three children born to Harold and Lulu (Hughes) Sterling, was born in Eagle Grove on November 2, 1919. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth and attended Clark College in Dubuque and Drake University in Des Moines.

Ann returned to Eagle Grove and was employed at the M & M plant. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Ann passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge, at the age of 90 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold E. Sterling and nephew, John Sterling, Jr. and sister-in-law, Mary.

Ann is survived by her older brother John J. Sterling Sr., currently residing in Kyle, TX; her niece Marie Jackson and husband Tom of Omaha, NE; niece Anne Hanson and husband David of Kyle, TX and nephew Joseph Sterling and wife Marie of Burnsville, MN.

Burial will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

The family expresses their extreme gratefulness to all the employees of the Greenleaf Healthcare Center and the Villa Care Center of Fort Dodge, Iowa, for their loving kindness and care through so many years. They are also very thankful to Iowa Hospice for their added support and reassurance over the past several months.
